Brand New Web Design

Over the past few months we have been working on a brand new website design. We are excited to be able to finally show it off. Here's a list of some of the main features :

1. Fully Mobile / Tablet compatible (Try it!).
2. New HTML5 player with Flash fallback (jPlayer).
3. Player built in to main stations pages.
4. New quick navigation menus and search.
5. Quick links to top 20 genres from the "Stations" menu.
6. Improved station "start" pages.
7. Cleaner design.

Its been a week since we launched the new design and we are very happy with the results. The few emails we have received have been very complimentary too.

Here's a few interesting statistics for you :

• 20% more visitor sessions.
• 45% reduction in bounce rate (when someone leaves after just one page view).
• 43% increase in visitor duration (how long people spend on the site).
• 400% increase in overall radio tune in's.
• 1500% increase in mobile tune in's.

Here's a few tweaks we have made in the last week :

• added volume control and playing time to stations list
• moved share panel to above popular genres
• now showing 10 featured and 10 popular on home page
• moved genre description to sidebar
• updated /player/ to jPlayer
• added addthis.com sharing buttons
• added a few extra genres

We have some more updates in the pipe line but overall we feel the update to be a great success.
