I just wanted to give everyone a progress report on the current status of PVR. The fit out of our studio at Pleasley Vale is taking a lot longer than originally expected. This is partly due to time constraints and partly due to a few technical faults that have come to light and needed fixing. Everyone who has offered shows should have received a reply by now. If by any chance you haven't, then please get in touch again as you may have slipped under the radar somewhere along the line. We are still actively looking for shows, but please be aware that we won't be going to air for a while yet.
We still need to complete the studio fit out, but we also need to fill the schedule so we can start as we mean to go on. We are trying NOT to have automated music play-out as much as possible, so we would very much like to hear from presenters either with their own shows or who can come and broadcast from our studio. Although all types of content will be considered (except for rap / hip hop / dance specialist shows as there are already plenty of those), we are particularly looking for more speech-driven content. Magazine type shows with interviews and radio drama are current boxes we need ticking.
We also need more behind the scenes people to help with the fit out and then the actual day to day running of the station.
