Edcast does not pick up sound of mixing console.

Hi !

See also my previous thread. (Edcast dll).
Since I re-installed Edcast it doesn't pick up the signal of my mixing console.
I can only stream the sound of Winamp by means of my PC soundcard.
If I switch to the mixing console, the peak meter shows max volume - but no sound....
Any idea of what is wrong ?
Thx. again,
Noorman.

Hi there,

Problem is still actual....
I installed and configured the Butt encoder. It works like a charm, but not when I try
to set the mixing console as premium input. (It gives no sound, no level on the meter).

As for Edcast. I don't have the stand-alone version anymore shoul I re-install it ?

Furthermore : if I try to re-connect my mixer by means of an USB cable to my PC the sound
of Winamp stops on my console. The stream however continues as normal (trough Winamp
and not trough the console).

Is it possible that the USB cable is broken (EOL) or is the USB input on my console broken ?
Whatever I try : nothing helps.... Maybe you can ?
My station is for 75% down now - no more live mixing.....
Thx in advance.
Noorman.

Does your mixing console have it's own built in audio interface (soundcard)? I'm presuming so if it connects via USB.

Do you also have a spare old PC or laptop kicking around that you could use simply to just run Winamp or BUTT?

I am afraid the soundcard of the mixing console is fawlty....
I tried to connect the console on my laptop and it gives : code 10 - device
is not started. After re-trying several times and checking the driver I got the
same problem.
I contacted the shop - I'll keep you informed.
Thanks for your time....

Hi !
You may close this topic ! I found out that the driver of the console
was missing. After installing the Steinberg driver the sound problem
was solved.

Best regards,
Noorman.
